Rotaract
Rotaract is a club for adults ages 18-30 that meets twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. While Rotary clubs serve as sponsors, Rotaract clubs decide how to organize and run their club and what projects and activities to carry out. There are several Rotaract Clubs in the 6860 District that each have unique programing and various service projects that benefit their cities. If you are interested in starting a Rotaract Club in your community, contact Mary Jean Sanspree, PhD. 6860 Rotaract Clubs
Founded in 2004, the Rotaract Club of Birmingham provides an opportunity for Birmingham’s young professional leaders to promote responsible citizenship, develop professional skills, and employ effective leadership by offering venues to learn from proven leaders, network with committed young professionals and serve the needs of the community. Our club includes nearly 300 members who live our motto – Learn. Socialize. Serve. – by attending monthly events and leading large scale projects that help create a better Birmingham. A listing of upcoming events can be found here. Young professionals interesting in applying to our club can learn more by visiting the apply section of our website.
